Michigan Congressman Fred Upton tells Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing that some argue a more regulatory environment might ultimately stifle new platforms and innovators like him, asking if policymakers should be focused on the needs of startups over large incumbents like a Fortune 500 company, Zuckerberg answering that as to competition the average American uses eight different apps to communicate and stay connected, there was lots of competition, and as to regulation that the Internet was growing in importance and regulation would be inevitable for the reasons Upton stated.
