Q - on difficult decisionsSunak:- It's been tough. - I did not get into this to put up people's taxes. - Much as people forget... Thatcher and Lawson had to do similar things. But when they started, they inherited this huge debt. - That's what I've had to do. It's not easy but I think that's the right thing to do. - We've made the difficult decisions - now that's done. - We want people to keep more of their own money, keep growing the economy - we have to do that in a sustainable way.
