Sal Mineo interview 9 of 9
Host: Are you a scheduled person? How do you work?
Mineo: I’ve tried because I’ve always felt that you have to live by some kind of schedule - it doesn't work”
Host: In your leisure time, can you just sit back and just enjoy a book or a play?
Mineo: “Mineo: No no - I always relate it somehow to either a film or a play, or a project / If I go to a film and I forget about looking at camera moves, etc., then it’s really a fabulous film because it takes that kind of think to make me forget about it”
Host: What films have done that for you?
Mineo: A CLOCKWORK ORANGE - Anything that Stanley Kubrick has done” I have to go back to his films and look again because I fall right back into it and become a part of it.”
(This interview was conducted on the set of PS Your Cat is Dead, the play he was rehearsing when he was murdered on February 12, 1976)
