Indigenous Australians and their allies gathered in Melbourne for the annual Invasion Day protest, marching from Parliament House to Federation Square to call for the abolition or change of Australia Day. Marking the day in 1788 when Arthur Phillip raised the British flag at Sydney Cove, the date is known as Invasion Day or Survival Day for Indigenous communities.
