(Original Caption) The blockade to relief aid for the hurricane swept area of South Florida, Snake Creek, where both highway and railroad bridges were undermined by water and completely washed out, leaving no entry to the stricken section is shown. Along the highway can be seen collected bodies, wooden box caskets, Red Cross and National Guard Relief trucks and automobiles. To the right of the highway is part of the railroad bridge still standing. The long wooden structure going across the Creek is the emergency bridge being built by National Guards.
