Ian Huntley arrives at Peterborough Magistrates Cour

A police van carrying Ian Huntley arrives at Peterborough Magistrates Courts where he is to appear for the first time, charged with the murders of Soham schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman. *He was brought from Rampton high security hospital where he has spent the last three weeks undergoing psychiatric tests. Police had erected a ring of steel barriers to control demonstrators and drafted in more than 100 officer to hold back crowds expected to be at least as large as the 500 who turned out to see Huntley's girlfriend Maxine Carr arrive for her court appearance three weeks ago.
