The Eternal flame in Sarajevo - Stock-Video

The Eternal flame (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian: Vječna vatra / Вјечна ватра) is a memorial to the military and civilian victims of the Second World War in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The memorial was dedicated on 6 April 1946, the first anniversary of the liberation of Sarajevo from the four-year-long occupation by Nazi Germany and the fascist Independent State of Croatia. The memorial is located in the center of Sarajevo at the corner the Marshal Tito street and the main Sarajevo pedestrian street, Ferhadija. In the very early morning of Sunday, 2 January 2011, the Vjecna vatra was extinguished by a gathering of revelers. However, the flame was heroically relit a few moments later by an American passerby who risked everything.
