Greek Police Use Tear Gas Against Protesters In Athens

Police fired tear gas at angry tourism workers who were attempting to storm the Labor Ministry on May 28, 2020 in Athens, Greece. Protesters chanted slogans while some of them were seen kicking at the Ministry's doors. Restaurant and hotel workers hold a protest rally, demanding to speak to the Greek Minister of Labor, Giannis Vroutsis, about a lack of financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic and express their concerns that not all hotels would open again thus leading them to unemployment throughout the summer season.
