"Male elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris) engage in mock fighting along the Central Coast of California, USA. These are adolescents and neither is much of a threat to the other, but when they become adults their fighting will become bloody as they fight for dominance and competition for females. Adult males can reach 4 meters in length and weigh over 2, 000 kilograms. Once hunted to near-extinction, northern elephant seals now number close to 200, 000."
