Ambulances bring more victims of Israeli strikes to Indonesian Hospital

GAZA, PALESTINE - NOV. 9, 2023: Footage from the Indonesian Hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip on Thursday, Nov. 9, shows moments of ambulances arriving at the hospital bringing more victims of the ongoing Israeli strikes. The hospital hardly serves its patients and reportedly it will cease to function soon as fuel will run out within 24 hours for generators, its director warned on Wednesday. “Generators will run out of fuel in 24 hours,” Atef al-Kahlout said in statements. He said that the main generator at the hospital had already stopped. “If the hospital is not supplied with fuel in the next 24 hours, its operations will come to a complete halt,” al-Kahlout warned. He appealed to the United Nations, WHO, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to intervene to secure safe passages for injured Palestinians to the southern Gaza Strip to be transported to Egypt for treatment. Israel refuses any fuel shipments into the Gaza Strip until hostages held by Hamas are released. Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7. At least 10,812 Palestinians, including 4,412 children and 2,918 women, have been killed since then. The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is nearly 1,600, according to official figures. Besides the large number of casualties and massive displacements, basic supplies are running low for Gaza’s 2.3 million residents due to the Israeli siege.(Footage by Ahmed Alarini /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
