Green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas), are amongst the largest of sea turtles and are classified as an Endangered species. They swim over large areas in search of food, here we see one swimming in the open ocean displaying that behaviour. They are threatened by over harvesting of their eggs, hunting for their shell and meat, being caught in fishing gear and loss of nesting beach sites. Due to this they are now becoming a rare site in the wild. This footage was taken at Hin Daeng, Andaman Sea, Krabi, Thailand.
