MANASSAS, VA- NOVEMBER 21: The canon view from a battlefield area known as Battery Heights shows the smoke in the distance from a controlled burn on November 21, 2019 in Manassas, VA. The National Park Service has launched a series of controlled fires at Manassas National Battlefield. The second burn day was today (the burn started yesterday in Manassas, Virginia on November 20, 2019. The park service says the controlled burns are designed to restore views at the battlefield, maintain wildlife habitat and combat invasive species. The fires involve about 75 acres of land.
