(Original Caption) The New York Mets admitted March 29th, that the Los Angeles Dodgers were one of a half-dozen clubs that were contacted concerning a trade for pitcher Tom Seaver, but denied a deal for Los Angeles right-hander Don Sutton was imminent. Trade conversations were initiated earlier this month when Seaver, a 31-year-old, three time Cy Young Award winner was quoted as saying that he wanted a three-year contract in the neighborhood of $1-million.
