2nd anniversary of crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter and 7 others

CALABASAS, CA-JANUARY 26, 2022: Sculptor Dan Medina of West Hills is photographed next to his bronze statue of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna that he placed at the helicopter crash site in the hills above Las Virgenes Rd. in Calabasas that killed them and 7 others, exactly 2 years ago today, January 26, 2020. Medina had to carry the roughly 160 pound bronze sculpture, including the steel pedestal over 1 mile to the crash site. He started off, using a cart, but then the cart broke, forcing him to carry it.
