47 Ronin (masterless Ronin) - Genzo Shigekata Akagaki (1668-1703). In the legend of the 47 Ronin (also known as the Chushingura tradition), a group of Samurai took revenge on a lord responsible for their master's death. Caption identifies this image as 35 year old Genzo Shigekata Akagaki, a cavalry officer, of 200 koku salary.
