UNITED STATES - APRIL 19: Police and Fire Department rescue workers carry a man from Penn Station after he was hurt when a virtually empty Amtrak train heading into the station rear-ended a packed Long Island Rail Road commuter train from Ronkonkoma, L.I. Officials said 127 people were hurt and 79 were ferried to hospitals as the crash caused chaos at the height of the morning rush hour. The motorman of the Amtrak train apparently rolled through a warning signal, officials said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
