A muslim man talks with a demonstrator 11 September 2007 during a forbidden demonstration against "the Islamisation of Europe" called by far-right organisations, 11 September 2007 in Brussels. Belgian police detained dozens of people for taking part in the protest which had been banned by city authorities. Around 50 people were taken into custody, the Belga news agency reported. A spokesman for Vlaams Belang said that two of its leaders, Frank Vanhecke, who is also a member of the European Parliament, and Filip Dewinter, were among them.
