Sad News for World Famous Clown

Memories of untold numbers of performances under the "Big Top" crowd in on Emmet Kelly, world famous clown, as he read the headline that Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey combined show has folded the big tent for the last time. With Kelly, as he he views the headline, is his wife, Elvira, former circus performer and their eight-month old daughter, Stasia. The big top era was brought to a finale in Pittsburgh, July 16th, with the announcement that the circus was returning to winter quarters in Florida and that future shows would be restricted to air conditioned arenas.
