Founded in 1904 as the One-Cent Savings and Trust Company Bank by African-American minister and businessman Richard Henry Boyd, the Citizens Savings Bank and Trust Company served the financial needs of African American depositors who believed that white-owned banks looked down on their small deposits. A large rectangular clock and sign. The front and back of the clock has a stained glass sign that reads “CITIZENS / SAVINGS / BANK / & TRUST CO.” The clock is located under the stained glass sign on the clock's front.
