Queen Elizabeth I's Funeral Corset To Go On Show At New Abbey Museum

LONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 20: Costume historian Jenny Tiramani (R) fits a 'pair of straight bodies' to the funeral effigy of Elizabeth I at Westminster Abbey on February 20, 2018 in London, England. The bodice was supplied by the Queen's tailor, William Jones, to Elizabeth's own pattern and was made especially for the effigy which was carried on the hearse at her funeral in 1603. Among the details discovered during conservation work is that the boning finishes slightly lower on the right-hand side, allowing right-handed Elizabeth greater ease of movement. The corset will be among 300 objects from the Abbey collection on display in The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries when they open at Westminster Abbey in June. (Photo by Leon Neal/Getty Images)
