Philadelphia Mayor Goode At A Press Conference

Following an extremely critical report by a Commission (which he appointed), on March 9, 1986 he apologized for his 'grossly negligent' (according to the report) response to the event where, in an attempt to serve warrants on several members of MOVE (a militant Black group), the city dropped two bombs on their house, killing more than 10 people and, in the subsequent fire, destroying 65 homes in the area.
