Alexander Calder Showing Mobile Art Forms

(Original Caption) Alexander Calder, sculptor, who devised the "mobiles," a new artistic medium which is causing considerable discussion in art circles, with one of his works in his one-man exhibit at the University of Chicago. All of the works are abstract designs, and the forms move with pulleys and gears attached to motors, or swing from a balance. He is showing the above creation to Miss Violet Elliot.
