This shot focuses on the details and contours in the snow and ice revealed in the low, skimming light of dawn. The wind and snow have made sculptures of their own along the shoreline. The river's edge actually begins at these rocks, but right now the river is frozen all the way across. It becomes a frozen wasteland instead, a place for the wind to play and form its sculptures.
