Place de la Mairie, Rennes, Brittany, France - July 22, 2023. Picture is a front view of the main facade of the Rennes Opera House, located on the Place de la Mairie, a large cobblestone square in the heart of the historic district. The building was built in 1836 by Pierre Louise and designed by the architect Charles Millardet in the Italian style. The picture was taken at night, during the blue hour, when the square is illuminated and the square nearly empty, and shows the paving stone and lines patterns of the square in the foreground. The square can be seen decorated with flags in summer. The Opera House is classified as a historical monument since 1975.
