Hamburg - Germany - afternoon of the 2nd of September, 2023. The horizontal composition shows a pedestrian street sign along the Willy-Brandt-Strasse (street). Towering over the trees of the Hopfenmarkt square and park, one can clearly see the St Nikolai Church tower, which is now a WWII Memorial, as the famous church, who's tower was for long the world's talles building, was destroyed in the air raids of the Second World War in 1943. The pedestrian street sign indicates the direction to access the major nearby attractions, and the respective distances. The picture was taken while on a walk in the historic city centre of Hamburg.
