Puyehue National Park is part of the Biosphere Reserve temperate rainforests of the Southern Andes as defined Andean Patagonian Forest or the Valdivian rainforest in southern Chile. Located between the Lakes Region and the Region of The Rivers, 80 km east of Osorno and 189 kms northeast of Puerto Montt.It is characterized by its spectacular evergreen forests and also deciduous trees, with a relief result of volcanic activity and the abundance of streams and watersheds, such as rivers, Andean lakes, cascades, waterfalls and virgins thermal waters pools. It has an area of 107,000 hectares and is divided into three sectors (Antillanca, Anticura and Aguas Calientes).
