During the springtime the area attracts lots of tourists for its endemic flora such as Rhododendrons, Camellias, Azaleas and Hydrangeas. In the background are visible Lake Maggiore and the Swiss Alps, just across the international border between Italy and Switzerland, Canton of Ticino.
