Ancient Beehive Tomb, Necropolis in Bat Al-Khum, Sultanate of Oman, Arabian Peninsula - Stock-Fotografie

Photograph of one of the beehive tombs near the town of Bat, in the Sultanate of Oman. Beehive tombs in Oman were built between 3,500 and 2,500 years BC. In these times, it was raining a lot more in the Arabian peninsula and the region was hosting a flourishing civilization in what is today an arid area, in the Al Hajar mountains of Oman. These circular structures are believed to be tombs but so far we haven't find any evidence of that or any remain of bodies.
