Academy of Athens, Greece - Stock-Fotografie

December 27, 2017, Athens Greece: In the center of Athens there are 3 building next to each other, the Library, the University and the Academy. All 3 buildings were built in the 19th century, just after the city became the capital of the young Greek state. They still stand there and the Athenians call them the Hansenian trilogy after the Danish architects Theophil and Christian Hansen (who also built the Austrian parliament). The building on this picture is the Academy of sciences.
